Guywood is a small, informal and friendly establishment which allows us to be flexible to the needs of both business and leisure guests visiting the Newbury area. We offer both en suite and shared facility bedrooms for the individual, couples or families, with prices starting from as little as £34.
We pride ourselves on our levels of service and accommodation. Whether you are looking for a day at the races, visiting relatives or on one of those business trips, we will serve you well.
We also welcome guests who require accommodation for longer periods, such as contract workers who often find us an economical option.

If you are attending a wedding or need transport for any event, we have a fully licensed luxury executive car service available at very reasonable rates.
FIND US
Travelling from the M4, come into Newbury on the A339 and turn left signposted A4 Thatcham and Reading. Stay on the A4. You will pass the Mercedes dealership on your right.
Stay on the A4 straight over a roundabout and you will see B&Q on your right and the Newbury Business Park on your left. Pass the Swan Public House on your left and you will see a set of traffic lights ahead of you.
Go straight over these lights and we are the fourth house on the left. We have a large conifer tree at the front of the house, just drive in and you will be able to park at the front of the premises.
Location
Nationally we are only a five minute drive from junction 13 of the M4, an hour from the centre of London by rail and a little more by road. Oxford City is thirty five minutes by road. We are so easy to find, even without sat nav. If you are having difficulty just go to our directions page within this site.
Locally, we are conveniently placed a short walk from the Newbury Business Park between Newbury and Thatcham and there are local eateries a short walk away. We can point you in the right direction to any number of restaurants in the nearby lovely Berkshire countryside.
The River Kennet and the Kennet and Avon Canal are a stones throw away and is a hive of activity during the fishing season and the summer months. We are also only a short hop into the town centres of Thatcham and Newbury.
We are often used as a stop-over for travellers using the London airports. We are a forty five minute journey from Heathrow and Southampton Airport and docks are less than an hour away. Foreign visitors often drive out from London and use us as a base to visit many places of interest. Stone Henge, Oxford, the Cotswolds, Highclere Castle, to mention only a few.
Newbury is the home of Vodafone HQ and many associated companies. Contract workers from AWE Aldermaston also use our facilities as we are only a fifteen minute drive away.

Rates
Including breakfast our rates start from £34.00 per night for a single room. If you are able to share a room, it will work out even more reasonable.
We accept the vast majority of credit and debit cards.

Parking
We can offer plenty of secure off road parking, allowing guests to leave their vehicles in situ if they wish. We can accommodate large vans and cars but are unable to accommodate anything heavier.

Dietary Needs
We pride ourselves on the quality of our full English breakfast which will well and truly set you up for the day. If you require any special dietary needs or just something lighter, we will try and provide for you.
One of the advantages of being a small business is that we can be flexible to ensure those smaller details can be taken care of for the benefit of our guests.

Pets
Assistance dogs are always welcome. Other pets are only permitted on a pre arranged basis.
In order to make arrangements please contact us in advance of your stay.
Cancellation Policy
We reserve the right to charge a deposit for rooms. If your booking cancellation is received outside of twenty four hours from midday of the arrival date, no charge is made.
Within twenty four hours there will be a charge of twenty five pounds per room.
